Móveis São Carlos is a company founded by Carlos Brito in 1992, the successor to other companies created by Mr. Carlos and his brother Alexandre Brito on March 25, 1986. The Brito brothers were inspired by:
The training they received, as young men, at the Industrial Gymnasium (Cenecista) in Afogados da Ingazeira, Pernambuco, which offered carpentry and mechanics courses;
The industrial, commercial, and photographic expertise acquired by Carlos Brito during his 14 years living in São Paulo; and Alexandre Brito's skill and experience in the custom furniture sector.
On April 27, 1992, Móveis São Carlos was founded, also in Afogados da Ingazeira, focusing on dining rooms and accessories. Using reforested pine and eucalyptus wood, certified by competent agencies, it created a unique experience for Northeastern retail.
With the emergence of MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard), in 2000, the company restructured its entire manufacturing plant, from machines to warehouses, to use this more ecologically efficient raw material.
